There’s something new taking shape in the Shuswap — and it’s built right into our new 4-seater Outrigger Canoe purchase. Our club has been working on a custom-designed "fin" developed to improve OC4 tracking and overall performance. Created here in the Shuswap, the project brought together practical experience on the water with the creativity of a young designer using 3D printing technology. It’s a great example of how new ideas and local collaboration can move the sport forward and we are proud to be part of something that blends tradition with innovation. UPDATE: The fin has been completed and looks great! Relief valves and Stern Cap installed this week. Huli recovery Sun May 31. Launch in lake next week. We'll see you on the water.
Curious about those big boats on the water? Others are and have already joined the club for this season. This is your invitation to experience dragon boating and outrigger canoeing! Our “Give it a Try” sessions are a relaxed and welcoming way to experience paddling firsthand. No experience is needed — just bring a willingness to try something new and enjoy time on the water. You’ll meet current members, learn the basics and get a feel for the rhythm and teamwork that make dragon boating and outrigger canoeing so unique. It’s a simple first step into a supportive and social environment. Spots are limited and we encourage you to register early. Discover what we’re all about. We'll see you on the water.
There’s something special about being on the water as a crew. Morning and evening paddles, shared effort, and a few laughs along the way — it all adds up to a strong sense of connection. Registration numbers have surpassed last season and we’re seeing great participation across both programs with a growing community of paddlers supporting one another. Whether it’s your first time in the boat or you’ve been with us for years, every outing contributes to the spirit of the club.
